2.1 UI/UX Enhancements

2.1.1 New Look & Easier Configuration for Master Lists

In the continuation of enhancing the user experience of our product, we have redesigned the Master Lists module with the new-gen UX design. With the new interface, you can easily build new Master Lists relationships and associate values to a parent master list to child master list.

2.2 Usability Enhancements

2.2.1 Know the Release and Sprint Scope in Story Mapping Board

We have introduced card count in the Story Mapping Board to show the total number of cards present in a particular row. Since each row on the board is either a release, sprint, or persona, you can easily know the count of cards planned for a release and sprint.

2.2.2 Enhancements in Backlog Refinement and Workitem Listing Page

For better user experience, we have made the following enhancements in the Backlog Refinement and Workitem listing page.

1. The Backlog Refinement is renamed to Backlog Grooming.
2. While grouping the workitems in the Backlog screen, by default the workitems would be grouped by their parent card.
3. The Table Editor option on the workitem listing page in the new UI is renamed to the Column Settings option. Similarly the Edit Grid icon is renamed to Edit.

2.3 Important Announcement

2.3.1 End of Support for Old UI

Please note that effective from 1st April 2022, the old UI will be deprecated and will no longer be available in the application. You are requested to use this time period to get accustomed to the new UI.

2.3.2 Say Goodbye to Project and Organization Template

From this release onwards, the Project template and Organization template will no longer be available in the application. All the existing projects created using the project or organization templates will remain as is.  Also, the facility to import and export a project will no longer be available in the application.

6. Annexure 1: Release Compatibility

Release Compatibility: SwiftEnterprise 9.0.0 and above means, while upgrading an existing customer installation of SwiftEnterprise, you will consider following –

6.1 Upgrading the database component

1. If your current release is prior to SwiftEnterprise 9.0.0, then you must upgrade the database by running DB.EXE for all the interim releases up to SwiftEnterprise 9.0.0.
2. Once you have reached 9.0.0 version, you can directly run SwiftEnterprise 9.7.0 DB.EXE
3. If your current release is SwiftEnterprise 9.0.0 or above, you can directly run SwiftEnterprise 9.7.0 DB.EXE

6.2 Upgrading the WildFly component

1. Make deployment as mentioned in the ReadME.pdf, present in the SwiftEnterprise 9.7.0 release folder.
2. If your current release is SwiftEnterprise 9.6.0, then follow the deployment impact present in this release document.
3. If your current releaseis prior to SwiftEnterprise 9.6.0, you must apply the deployment impacts mentioned in all the interim releases up to SwiftEnterprise 9.6.0. Once that is done, then follow the deployment impact present in this release document.

6.3 MSP Plugin Version

The MSP Plugin Version is not tied to release compatibility. It is changed whenever there are fixes or enhancements in the plugin code. The MSP plugin version is mentioned in the Release Summary section of the Release Notes. We append ‘updated’ tag to the version number if there is a change in the plugin version shipped in the previous SwiftEnterprise release.
