Adjacency Matrix chart shows the movement of cards from one board column to the next. You can track if the cards are following the entire process, column by column or not. If columns are skipped, it indicates that workflow is not followed, and probably there is scope for process improvement.
Adjacency matrix shows the movement of cards from one column to the next of the selected region of the value-stream within the Temporal Range. The horizontal rows in the table indicate the ‘From’ column and the vertical columns indicate the ‘To’ column and the numbers shown in the cells represent the summation of cards (by various summation methods) which have left from a particular column (corresponding horizontal row on left) and entered another column (corresponding vertical column on top).
Configuring the Analytics
The From rows and To columns of the pivot table can be set based on various attributes and column names like Type, Class of Service, Size, and Priority.
- Select the type of table or chart from the variety of options, such as Table, Bar Chart, Heatmap, Row Heatmap, and Column Heatmap.
- Select the method of summation such as Count, Sum, Average, Minimum, Maximum, 80% Upper Bound, Sum as Fraction of Total, and so on.
- Drag and drop attributes that you have defined as filters like Name, Card Types, Class of Service, Priority, and others to the Row or Column label and render the table or chart according to your requirement.
- Refine your data further by adjusting the Temporal Range or selecting the particular Filters and Value-Streams in the Filter pane. To know more about it, see this Help Page.
