Process Governance
The software engineering field has attained sufficient maturity to offer a variety of methodologies that address different software concerns to varying degrees. Certain methodologies may suit an organization’s culture, skill profile, development maturity and development services better than others. Even among these, different methodologies might be best suited for different project types.
‘Process Governance’ product offers organizations a platform for consistency across all of their projects by capturing and reusing project knowledge and lessons learnt. The result is uniform and consistent processes for managing projects. By standardizing best practices, a company can learn from past experiences, which help project managers to avoid pitfalls and repeat successful practices in future projects.
‘Process Governance’ product also includes Digité Universal Process Framework (UPF), a proprietary framework for process modeling which allows an organization to easily model any of the standard software methodologies like CMMI, RUP, PMBOK, Agile etc. or even their own custom processes inside Digité. It basically defines a computational framework for modeling Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) management processes that are used in various methodologies, and is consistent with CMMI capability/maturity goals of the organization.
In addition, ‘Process Governance’ product comes with features necessary for successful implementation of various CMMI ® v1.2 process areas.
