It is a web-based service designed to merge e-mail, instant messaging, wikis, and social networking. Any participant of a wave can reply anywhere within the message, edit any part of the wave, and add participants at any point in the process. All replies/edits are visible in real-time, letter by letter, as they are typed by other collaborators.
This integration has enabled Digite Enterprise users to exploit Google wave for project collaboration. While in Google wave, Digite Enterprise users can discuss on a wavelet, which can be a project related discussion. From Google wave, they can simply select text of the wavelet and create a project artifact such as, a User story, Requirement or a Defect. The new artifact is now added to the project for further detailing and tracking.
Further more, while working on any project artifact in Digite, the users can access a wavelet and discuss in real-time using the wave, right from the context of the project artifact. They do not have to switch between wave and Digite Enterprise.
