Digité announced Derek Scoble’s appointment as VP- IT Governance

Digité Inc., a leading provider of IT Portfolio and Process Governance solution, announced today that Derek Scoble has been appointed, effective July 1st, 2005, as the company's new Vice President of IT Governance solutions.

Derek brings 24 years of rich experience from the IT industry within commercial, federal and state government arenas. During this period he has led various high profile assignments at organizations like Castillo Co. Inc, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), United States Navy, Intermetrics etc. Prior to joining Digité, Derek was PMO Director and IT Process architect within the IT Services Division of State of Montana.

The unique expertise he brings to the team will help us in creating and executing the strategy that will form the foundation for Digité’s product and market penetration,” said Mahesh Singh, one of the co-founders and Vice President of Product Management.

Derek’s career throughout has been marked with successes and recognitions. He was awarded Navy Achievement Medal for his duties as a Combat Information Center (CIC) operations specialist. He was also awarded by JITC (Fort Huachuca, Arizona) for his efforts and leadership in saving the government an estimated $12 million. He has been associated with winning proposal efforts totaling over 200 million dollars since 1992.

Derek received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, from National University, San Diego, California and a Masters of Science in Information Systems, from Western International University, Phoenix, Arizona. He also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and membership from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and is a member of the IEEE Standards Association and Computer Society. He is also serves on the National Association of State CIO’s (NASCIO’s) IT Business Case Subcommittee.
