Digité recently participated in a Charity Golf Tournament organized by our customer Convergys Corp. to benefit the Children’s Home Society of Florida. The event took place on April 28th, 2008 in Lake Mary (near Orlando), Florida.

Digité became one of the sponsors for the tournament. The tournament collections go towards the welfare of abused children in the region that this charity organization looks after. In return for Digité’s sponsorship, we got to play in the tournament along with the executive management from Convergys side!

Digité was represented by Mike Amend and Mahesh Singh; the Convergys side in our team was represented by Bill Atteberry, Sr. Director and Doug Brueckner, Executive Vice President from Convergys’ IMG – the main sponsor for Digité implementation at Convergys. Our team was one of 25 teams of 4 players each that participated.

I am happy to report that while we did not “win anything”, we did honorably! Of the 25 teams, we came in at the 7th place. And at the end of the day, the main thing that mattered was that it was for charity and for the good of the affected children. At the award presentation ceremony in the evening, Convergys management gratefully acknowledged Digité’s contribution and thanked us for the monetary support as well as the effort of showing up there to demonstrate our support to the cause.

Overall, it turned out to be a great event which, I believe, will help bring Convergys and Digité closer together in a long term strategic relationship!
