Gartner Acknowledges Digité

In the recent Gartner's Application Development Summit 2006, Gartner Analyst Joseph Fieman talked on the topic of "Making the Right AD outsourcing decisions: Cost, Risks, Tools and Tips" where he touched on some of the critical subjects of what projects should be outsourced or executed in-house and taking it further to discuss what tools and vendors would enable globally distributed Application Development. He mentioned that in the Application Development domain, there are numerous tools but none of them provide a seamless platform, neither they have transformed in the new quality of globally distributed application development tool. The analyst talked about a few tools including Digité that caters to the specialized requirements for distributed Application Development.

In December 2006, Gartner published report on "Hype Cycle for Application Development 2006" in which James Duggan, Joseph Fieman and Matt Light commented on Collaborative Tools for the Software Development lifecycle. According to them the market penetration of such seamless tools that takes care of software lifecycle management are just 1 to 5% and this is an emerging domain. The report also says that tools like Digité would cater to significant cost savings and revenue and mitigation of the risk posed by the globally distributed teams and globalization of application delivery.
