Gartner mentions Digité

Last week Gartner published their 2006 Magic Quadrant for IT Project and Portfolio Management Applications, authored by Matt Light and Daniel Stang. According to them "IT-oriented project and portfolio management (PPM) solutions are becoming more comprehensive, ... Interest in enterprise PPM — beyond, but often encompassing, IT — is on the rise." Amongst others, they have mentioned Digité as a key player in the IT-oriented PPM space.
I just took a look at the Gartner Report and the only mention of Digite is as follows:"Gartner has observed the rise of mid-market demand for PPM systems, but some vendors (such as @task, Digite, MaestroTec, OpenAir, ProjectArena, Project.net and others) do not yet meet Gartner's criteria for inclusion in the IT PPM Magic Quadrant." Is there another report that mentions Digite as a "key player?"
It is the same report I have talked about. There are factors that has kept Digite and other mentioned players out of the magic quadrant. Hopefully, they will make it to the magic quadrant in the time to come.
The only way I can see that happening is that product firms like Digite boost up on their consulting services or professional services which are sold independently. Otherwise for smaller product firms to make an impact in a market which has already seen such frenzy of consolidation and takeovers is a very tough call indeed.
A good analogy to look at is the SOX compliance product market. Smaller firms' products who had a good consulting base and reputation have made it real big even though they might be inferior in terms of the product quality and features compared to bigger, established product firms.
Its high time to sell total solutions, rather than just selling either products or services.
