Sr. Operations (Platform) Engineer

Job Description:

Profile
  1. Oracle Database Administration (min 2 years)
    • Oracle Installation / configuration
    • DB Creation and Maintenance - Table space management / Index management / etc
    • Backup of databases
    • Performance Tuning - memory / cache / SGAs management, etc
  2. Web Server (Apache) Administration (min 2 years) chat, discussion forums
    • Apache Installation / Configuration / Deployment
  3. WebLogic Server (WLS) 6.1 Administration
    • WebLogic Installation/ Configuration/ Deployment
    • Performance tuning of WLS
    • Deployment of WebLogic application - Servlets/ EJBs
    • WebLogic Security setup
  4. Knowledge of UNIX and Win 2000 platform
  5. System - Hardware/ Solaris OS - Administration (Min 5-6 years on Unix/ Solaris)
    • Basic knowledge of Sun/ Intel hardware configurations
    • System Administration on Solaris - User creation, CRON jobs scheduling, Shell/ Perl scripting
    • File System management/ Partitioning
    • Memory/ Cache management
  6. Following will be an added advantage
    • Limited Security Administration a plus - knowledge of SSH implementation/ basic network security/ firewall management
    • Limited knowledge of Network Administration
    • Limited knowledge of J2EE technology platform
    • Overall strong Trouble-shooting/ Analytical skills
Desired Profile
Total Experience 5-7 years minimum experience as Administrator.
